About this content

I’m Heather Harris-DeMelo, operating SoulShift Studios in Alberta. I share yoga, movement, breathing, body-awareness, reflection and general wellness education. This content is not medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, psychotherapy or treatment, and does not replace care from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay needed care or change prescribed treatment because of it.

Watching, following or commenting does not enrol you in a program or provide an individual assessment or live supervision. If you are already a SoulShift participant, your agreed services and rights continue to apply.

Choosing whether and how to practise

Choose practices that suit your circumstances. Ask a qualified healthcare professional before trying a practice if an injury, condition, pregnancy, recent recovery or uncertainty may affect its suitability.

You choose whether to participate. Follow the demonstrated setup and precautions, use a clear and stable space with suitable equipment, and stay within comfortable movement and breathing. Modify, keep your eyes open, rest, use ordinary breathing, skip or stop. Do not attempt an unfamiliar or unsuitable practice just because it appears in a video.

Movement and breathing practices can involve injury, falls, aggravation of an existing condition, dizziness or distress. Gentle does not mean risk-free. A recording cannot assess your needs or monitor you.

Stop if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, difficulty breathing, increasing distress or feel unwell or unsafe. Return to ordinary breathing and a comfortable position. Seek appropriate healthcare for persistent, worsening or concerning symptoms. For urgent help or immediate danger, contact local emergency services; in Alberta, call 911.

Experiences and results

Responses vary. Descriptions such as nervous-system regulation, somatic practice or emotional release describe wellness intentions, not a promise of a physiological change, trauma recovery or health outcome. You do not need to produce tears, shaking or another intense response. Emotional intensity is not proof of healing.

Personal stories and testimonials describe individual experiences and do not promise similar results. Where a recommendation involves payment, gifts or an affiliate commission, we identify that connection with the content.

Comments and private information

Public comments can be seen and copied. Do not post health or trauma details, private journal content or another person’s personal information. General social-media messages are not a designated confidential intake route. Email heather@soulshiftstudios.com to arrange an appropriate private conversation without sending sensitive details initially.

Comments, messages and program forms are not emergency or crisis services, and replies may not be immediate.

Permission and your rights

Following, tagging, commenting or participating does not give SoulShift permission to use your identifiable image, voice or story in promotion. Promotional use requires separate optional permission; declining does not affect program participation. General program testimonials follow the selected media choices; edits must preserve meaning and attribution. Personal stories beyond general program comments require separate exact-content approval. Sensitive material excluded by the permission is not used.

This notice explains the nature and limits of public content. It is not a participant liability waiver, does not release claims, and does not remove consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Alberta and applicable Canadian federal law apply to our Alberta services, subject to mandatory protections.
